Khafiz’s photography is nothing short of cinematic. Each frame is clean, intentional, and dripping with talent—sometimes gritty, sometimes poignant, Khafiz seems to always have full control over his aesthetic -from idea to execution. Every photo feels ready to be printed and hung on a wall. Artistic and powerful, Khafiz’s submissions are simply a visual delight. This week marks Khafiz’ 246th frame in the project!

Your life in 30 words or less
Husband, father, teacher, introvert, retired military veteran, photographer, and just a jack of all trades. I truly enjoy learning new things and getting out of my comfort zone (in moderation).
Can you share 2 images, one from your past, and one more recent, that show your evolution as a photographer?

What has been your favorite style of shooting lately?
I have been into photographing birds and other small wildlife lately. For all of 2025 so far, I have been focused solely on this type of photography and and my goal is to post one bird or other wildlife photo per day on Instagram for 365 days just to keep me motivated (so far I have not missed a day). It has been amazing because I have learned about and seen so many different birds and other wildlife for the first time now that I’m paying attention. It’s been a great learning experience so far and I’ve recently also begun dabbling in macro photography to capture some of the less noticeable insect wildlife.
What was the first photo you ever submitted to 52Frames?

How did you find out about 52Frames?
I was searching online for different photography challenges to start out the new year and I was really drawn to the simplicity and supportiveness of the project.
What submission are you most proud of and why?
