What has been your favorite style of shooting lately?

My images are my “Evidence of Existence”. I shoot for me and draw inspiration from life and what is going on around me at the time. I’m not often in photos so I tend to shoot a few self portraits as I’m always available when the light is right. My submissions are my photographic journey. I find naming an image is the biggest challenge each week.

What was the first photo you ever submitted to 52Frames?

"All Dressed Up" 1/52 2015 - Self Portrait (my most disliked self portrait, a lame iphone photo that another Framer submitted as I couldn't submit back then via phone)

How did you find out about 52Frames?

My 52Frames journey started 1/52 2015 after a friend said she had a new photography project and suggested I join her. I had just completed my third year submitting 3 x Photo A Day challenges, so I figured a photo a week would be a walk in the park.

What submission are you most proud of and why?

"Out Of Gas" 24/52 2015 - Transportation

Back in 2015 I achieved my first “Audience Award” [back when 52F had this honor] for this image. It was the most liked image of the album. I then entered it in a local exhibition and won the “People” prize and my image sold to a mystery buyer. It was then gifted back to me.

One tip you’d like to share?

Shoot, submit & repeat! Shoot, submit & repeat! Sometimes you will find you should have gone with your alternate image, but such is life, you live and learn!

Why is 52Frames meaningful to you?

52Frames has my “Evidence Of Existence” since 2015. I’ve documented the up’s and down’s of my life. Everything from day-to-day things to my 3 week hospital stay with my Son, Mum’s stroke, Nan’s death and my 16yo Daughters recent spinal fusion journey.

  1. I absolutely love your work, and I do appreciate your critiques on my images. One of my travel fantasies is to go to the countries where my Framer friends live, just to visit them. Australia enjoys a top spot on that list.

    1. Thank you so much Angela. Your comments mean so much. Sadly life is busy and I only just caught up on messages after my Son had emergency surgery.

  4. Remarkable body of work. Also shows how your skills have progressed. Your progress also lends credence to your advice “Shoot. Submit. Repeat.”

Great knowing you, albeit through the post and through the pictures in your profile.
