Your life in 30 words or less
I took a photography class in Cortland as an art major. It was film and I hated the process so put the camera away for years. It wasn’t until the last 8 years which I bought a decent camera and learned the editing process.
Can you share 2 images, one from your past, and one more recent, that shows your evolution as a photographer?
What has been your favorite style of shooting lately?
My favorite style of photography is, and most likely always will be, fine art portraiture.
What was the first photo you ever submitted to 52Frames?
How did you find out about 52Frames?
I learned from my other half, Katie Grove.
What submission are you most proud of and why?
This shot started my love of this particular color grading I do in a lot of my work recently. It feels so painterly which I gravitate towards.
One tip you’d like to share?
Learn your camera and settings, lighting and above all the software in order to meet your vision.
Why is 52Frames meaningful to you?
It keeps me shooting with fresh ideas and ways to take the normal challenge requirements and bend them to make my art.
I joined at the same time as Scott and he immediately caught my eye as one to follow. I love your whimsy and surrealism, Scott, your art is beautiful.
Stunning g and inspiring!!!
Scott is inspiring and probably one of the most creative artists I have ever come across.
Your creativity, skill and imagination are breathtaking. I’m in awe.
