Your life in 30 words or less
I am a mother, wife, and have two kids.
I am a patriotic lithuanian.
I am a geographer and environmental specialist, and an educated photographer.
I am working as a meteorology specialist and as a photographer.
Finally, I think I am a creative!
Can you share 2 images, one from your past, and one more recent, that shows your evolution as a photographer?
What has been your favorite style of shooting lately?
Photography for me is the key to control time. When photographing, it is possible to look at the things around you, the environment, and the everyday moments, at least for a short time, through an intentional prism, a keyhole.
Time is unstoppable, it grows, creates, changes and ultimately destroys us. Photography gives us the possibility to see the past, the present and the future.
Is that a style?
I like BW photography, but many of my photos are bright and colorful. I like taking photos of nature, humans, I also like food, conceptual, street, travel photography and shooting macro.
In general, I like to tell stories with my photos. My 52Frames album for 2022 is like my blog.
What was the first photo you ever submitted to 52Frames?
How did you find out about 52Frames?
There is a club of photographers in my city. I joined there 5 years ago and then I noticed that some of the club’s photographers are involved in the 52Frames project. As the new year began, I decided to join in as well!
What submission are you most proud of and why?
This photograph I named “Courtyard ensemble”.
We all know that music, like photography, is an interesting and creative process. It is said that great musicians can hear music in their heads. How do photographers create their photos?
The week I took this photo I was at a concert, where I heard an amazing accordionist Orinta. I went up to her after the performance, we talked, and decided to meet a few days later to take some photos. At the time of the meeting, she was late because of a concert. While I was waiting I was walking around the city streets and courtyards. In one courtyard I saw a flock of pigeons communicating in their language and then suddenly the idea was born. This is a place of music!
The girl soon appeared and we started creating the scene. The evening sun drew some shadows and mood. I thought: the pigeon and accordion ensemble sound perfect!
In general, I created everything in my mind about this photo, after that I created it in reality. The shadows of the pigeons accidentally hit the frame and gave a whole new life to the image. The 52Frames committee surprised me and selected this photo as the cover photo for that week’s album. So, I’m very excited, and proud of this photo.
One tip you’d like to share?
I will repeat that photography gives us the possibility to see the past, the present and the future. Don’t ever give up. We are creating history with our photographs.
Let’s create stories with our photos together.
Why is 52Frames meaningful to you?
It gives my photography momentum. I feel that by participating in the 52frames project, I am constantly improving, learning new techniques, sharing, and learning from other participants.
